TERMS & CONDITIONS – CASTRA HOLIDAYS

1. Agreement

Castra Holidays provides the booked holiday apartment for recreational use for the agreed dates. The person booking is responsible for compliance with the house rules by other guests and visitors. Changes require written agreement.

2. Stay and price

Check-in is from 15:00 and check-out is before 10:00. The stay ends on the agreed departure day. Nightly prices include 7% VAT. No extras or standard cleaning fees are added to a booking. The agreed accommodation price remains due in the event of early departure.

3. Payment

For bookings more than 56 days before arrival, 50% of the accommodation price is due immediately. The remaining 50% plus a €150 deposit is due no later than 56 days before arrival. For bookings within 56 days of arrival, the full accommodation price plus the €150 deposit is due immediately. Payments are in euros through Stripe. A German PDF invoice is created only after the first successful payment and emailed with the booking confirmation. Overdue payments first receive a written reminder; the software does not automatically cancel confirmed reservations.

4. Cancellation

The previously published terms specify the following charges: more than three months before arrival 20%; two to three months 75%; one to two months 90%; within one week 100% of the accommodation price. Between one month and one week before arrival, the charge is 100% of the accommodation price. An approved replacement guest may qualify for a proportional reimbursement after agreed administrative costs.

5. Use and house rules

The apartment may not be used as a permanent residence. Third-party use requires prior written consent. Observe safety rules and take care of the apartment, garden and inventory. Digging, cutting trees and alterations to the grounds are not allowed. Do not disturb other guests. Illegal internet use is prohibited; reasonable shared usage applies. Serious or repeated breaches may lead to termination following any required warning.

6. Security deposit

A refundable €150 deposit applies to every booking. It is outside the scope of VAT and shown separately from accommodation charges. It is payable with the final balance, or immediately for short-notice bookings. Guests will be notified of damage, missing inventory or exceptional soiling. If the property is returned without issues, repayment is initiated within two working days; bank processing time may differ.

7. Pets

Up to 3 dogs are allowed in the 2-person apartment, and up to 8 dogs in the 4- and 6-person apartments. Please ask in advance about additional dogs. Dogs must have rabies vaccinations. Dogs must be on leads except inside the rented apartment, private garden and designated off-lead field. Avoid noise nuisance.

8. Complaints

Notify Castra Holidays promptly of any issue so that it can be addressed. German law applies subject to mandatory consumer rights. Statutory rights remain unaffected.
